The power of light attenuation.
Krypton lamp as consumables, its efficiency under high power use will follow slowly with time attenuation, lamp power decline will cause an effect to the laser power not disorderly.
In addition because ordinary pure clean water contains a lot of microbes and various ion, so in the high temperature of tube wall easily attached to these impurities, also causes the decrease of the efficiency of the lamp.

Thermal deformation of resonator cavity mirror.
