Key Cutting Machines

The key cutting machines around were more than I thought at first.
I found six different types.
The first one is the old standard that I am most familiar with, manual key cutting machine.
You place a blank on the side with the tool and copy the key on the side with the guide rail.
Turn on the motor, rotate the spindle and keep the cutting wheel.
The next step is to move the key to the guide rail and keep the uniform pressure while doing so until all the excess material on the blank is removed.
Finally, you need to buffer the excess material hanging on the newly made key so that it can move smoothly in the lock it wants.
Blank spaces are the same type of key to copy.
With the second key cutting machine I found, the other one I used before, the operation is similar.
Again, the first step is to put the key on the side with the guide rail and the matching blank on the side with the cutting wheel.
The steps are simpler from here, but still similar.
Just turn on the machine and press the start switch or lever and the key cutter will cut off the key for you.
You still need to buffer the residue left by the material from the blank so that it can enter the lock smoothly, however, since there is no need to maintain uniform pressure, it is simpler to operate than manual key cutting machine. This is a semi-

Using the fully automatic key cutting machine, the on switch of the motor also starts the cutting process.
The tubular key cutting machine is used to cut the key style used on soda water vending machines.
It operates the same way as the manual key cutting machine.
The code Cutter is the type that the key cutter lock manufacturer uses to make the original for your lock.
You put the required type of blank into the slot by cutting the wheel.
The next step is to enter the code for the key.
This is done by using the code card provided by the manufacturer or by looking in the code manual provided by the lock manufacturer.
All codes come from the lock manufacturer.
After cutting, the key still needs to remove the excess burrs so that the key can enter the lock smoothly.
Another version of the code cutter is called the punch code cutter.
The operation of this key cutting machine is similar to the code cutting machine, but the stamping mechanism is used instead of the rotating wheel to cut the key.
This is mainly used for double-sided keys like some car keys.
Enter the code to set the card.
After placing the appropriate blank in the appropriate position, use the lever attached to the machine to operate the punch and make the key.
Keys still need some polishing to remove burrs, but less than other types of key cutting machines.
When operating the key cutting machine, be sure to wear protective glasses to protect your eyes from metal removal.
